Fundación La Caixa has awarded Fundación del Valle a grant of 12,000 euros that shall be spent on the execution of the project ‘Teaching values, teaching with value’. This program is aimed at educating and forming the will of youngsters by means of firm and lasting values by means of a broad program of cultural, training, family, voluntary, leisure and sports activities. Likewise, this initiative, developed in collaboration with the Montepinar Association, continues to reinforce the authority of family, increasing family involvement in children's education.
Among the activities listed in the program, meant for young women between 9 and 18 years, are ‘studio workshops’, aimed at improving school attendance; the ‘studio workshops’ comprising of theatre and dance exercises and music activities; ‘leisure and culture activities’ to act as healthy and enriching entertainment alternatives; the ‘voluntary activities’ provide social assistance for hospitals and care homes; and the ‘family activities’ in which training seminars will be held on current events to advise and help parents with the comprehensive education of their children.
Through this project, problems such as negligence, unhealthy leisure options, general disinterest or lack of family involvement will be tackled.
