The D.R. Congo, one of the largest countries in Africa, is also a country rich in natural resources: rivers, minerals, fertile land. However, 74% of the population suffers from problems of malnutrition, life expectancy at birth is 47 years, only 29% of children complete primary education (less if they are girls), and in terms of gender violence, this is considered one of the most dangerous countries in the world for girls and women.
Therefore, the projects undertaken by Fundación del Valle in the D.R. of Congo cover various sectors, from the increased production of staple foods through the mechanization of farming and raising pigs and chickens, to access to education of children through school construction and teacher training or training of healthcare staff.
