Our FLAGSHIP project:
Almost half the population in Honduras has a per capita Income of less than 1 USD per day and 69.5% of its population lives below the poverty line. The average level of education is sixth year of primary level since 65% of the population eligible to continue with secondary education drop out for different reasons. This problem is exacerbated in rural communities where Fundación del Valle has been working since 1998, supporting educational initiatives for disadvantaged children. We have helped create 110 Integrated Child Development Centres (CDI) equipped with classrooms where children receive education, nutrition and healthcare.
