SOCIAL IMPACT
The most important thing has been to raise awareness among policy makers and parents as to the development of Intercultural Bilingual Education in La Selva Central.
In this respect, a level of 70% participation has been achieved among parents during the development of learning days together with the orientation of the promoters responsible for the Ene and Tambo River and Mazamari.
It has also been possible to successfully implement the methodological strategies that are used in learning programmes supervised by bilingual specialists. As such, the promoters have gained enhanced capabilities to fulfil their functions. Thanks to bilingual intercultural education we have managed to reaffirm knowledge and values. The mother tongue is maintained in 100% of all classes and cultural identity has been protected and enhanced.
